Who we are
We are parents. We went through the same evenings you are having now — twenty browser tabs open, every one of them confident, none of them showing the same numbers. This site is the thing we wanted then: the published figures for a short list of models, in one table, with the sources attached.
What this site is
Comparisons and reviews of strollers, toys, pregnancy gadgets and gear for keeping small children busy. Nothing else.
In particular, we do not write about feeding, health or safety. Those are regulated subjects where a parent's opinion is not a substitute for a professional, and where being approximately right is worse than saying nothing. If a question turns on any of them, this is the wrong site.
How we research
- Specifications come from the manufacturer's own documentation — spec sheets, manuals, press material. Never from a retailer listing, where the text belongs to a seller rather than the maker.
- We do not measure anything ourselves, and we do not present anybody else's measurements as our own. Every figure on this site is a published figure.
- Where a manufacturer does not publish something, the table says manufacturer does not publish. We would rather show a gap than fill it with something plausible.
- Each product carries the date its figures were last checked against the source. We revisit them roughly every six months.
- We do not list prices. Amazon's programme rules do not allow it, and a price copied by hand is wrong within a week anyway. The current price is on the product page, where it belongs.
How we make money
Some links on this site are Amazon affiliate links, marked (paid link) where they appear. If you buy something through one, Amazon pays us a commission and you pay exactly the same price.
